To Preserve Safety and Stability in our Community
Miamisburg voters will consider a ballot issue on May 4 that will ensure the continued safety and stability of our community. Issue 19 requests an increase in the Citys income tax rate by ½%, which will provide critical funding for essential local services such as police, fire, emergency medical and road maintenance.
This is an issue of great urgency for the City of Miamisburg. The decision to place this levy on the ballot was made only after careful deliberation by City Council and after significant cost savings measures were enacted. Revenues have not kept pace with the cost of providing essential services to the community, and the staggering economy has only magnified this problem. There has not been a change in the local income tax rate in 33 years.
Residents are encouraged to attend one of the following public meetings to hear a presentation from City officials about Issue 19 and obtain answers to important questions. All meetings begin at 7 p.m.
