Miamisburg, Ohio ? May 15, 2012:  One of the busiest weekends of the year in Miamisburg is coming up.  The City invites you to take advantage of some of the following activities:

A Taste of Miamisburg
A Taste of Miamisburg will return to the downtown Riverfront Park this year to help kick-off the community?s annual Spring Fling Festival.  The Taste will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday, May 18 on Miami Avenue, adjacent to the City?s historic downtown district.  Food purchases will be the only cost to patrons.  Approximately 10 local restaurants will be on hand serving menu items during the evening, and live entertainment will be provided by Larry Goodwin, AQK and the Rock-O-Sonics beginning at 6 p.m.

Spring Fling Festival
Miamisburg's major annual festival will be held May 18-20, featuring carnival rides/games, arts & crafts, live entertainment and delicious food.  The Spring Fling Parade begins Saturday at 9:45 a.m., with prime viewing available along Central Avenue west of Fifth Street.  The parade can be seen live on Time Warner Cable channel 5 beginning at approximately 10 a.m.  Visit miamisburg-springflingfestival.com for additional details on the scheduled activities.

Special Recycling Drop-Off
The City of Miamisburg and Special Waste Systems will offer a special recycling drop-off service Saturday, May 19 for electronics, batteries, medications and medical waste.  Citizens can bring these items to the Municipal Service Center at 600 N. Main Street from 8 a.m. to noon for environmentally safe disposal.  In conjunction with this event, the Public Works Department will host a plant swap.  Citizens wanting to participate should bring a plant to donate to the Service Center on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m., then return the following morning to choose any plant on display.  For more information, please call 847- 6635.
