New notifications for late utility bill payments Print E-mail

Miamisburg, Ohio - Aug. 20, 2019:  The City of Miamisburg will be changing the way it notifies residents that their utility service will be disconnected because payment has not been received.

Currently, this notification is done via a red door-hanger.  Beginning Oct. 1, these addresses will be sent a yellow postcard.  At some point in 2020, the City hopes to move to electronic notification through telephone, email or text.

Water and sewer customers who haven’t done so already are asked to contact the Utility Billing office to provide a current email address and telephone number to receive an electronic second billing notification.

For the convenience of residents, the City of Miamisburg has many options for the payment of utility bills:
•    Via U.S. mail with remittance (please allow seven business days).
•    In person at 10 N. First Street (cash or credit card).
•    Online with a credit card (ci.miamisburg.oh.us -  click on Water Bill Options).
•    Telephone with a credit card (847-6460).
•    Automatic ACH debit from bank account (please provide a voided check).

Staff is available to answer questions weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 847-6460.
