LIGHT EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
(Public Works Dept., Water Distribution Division)

General Purpose
Performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled utility maintenance work and operates a variety of light equipment relating to construction, maintenance or repair of water distribution systems, sanitary/storm sewer collection systems and/or roadways construction, operation, repair, maintenance, and replacement of the City storm drainage system, water distribution system, and roadways.  Actively supports and upholds the City’s stated mission and values.  MANDATORY MEMBER OF SNOW & ICE CONTROL TEAM.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1.    High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.); and
2.    One (1) year of experience in the operation of light equipment relating to construction, maintenance or repair of water distribution systems, sanitary/storm sewer collection systems and/or roadways, or equivalent; and
3.    Possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License*; and
4.    Possess a minimum of a Class B Ohio Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)*.  (Must possess a Class A CDL and tanker endorsement within six months of position appointment) *; and
5.    Must be able to respond within a reasonable amount of time to emergencies and fulfill physical demands of the position; and
6.    Must be able and willing to work extended hours and demonstrate a work history of reliable attendance and overtime response.

Additional requirement for Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection Divisions only:
Obtain a minimum of an Ohio EPA Class I Water Supply Operator License*, Water Distribution Operator License*, Wastewater Treatment Operator License*, or Wastewater Collection Operator License* as determined by the Department Director or designee within two (2) years of appointment.

*Licensures must be maintained over the course of employment as a condition of employment within this classification.

LIGHT EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

PARK MAINTENANCE II
(Parks & Recreation Dept.)

The City of Miamisburg, Ohio is accepting applications for the position of Park Maintenance II.  This full-time position performs unskilled and semi-skilled labor as directed for normal maintenance of Parks and Recreation facilities and properties.  This is a full-time position that would be scheduled either Monday-Friday or Tuesday- Saturday. 

The minimum qualifications are:

1.    High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.), and
2.    Possess one certification related to parks and facilities as determined by the department director or designee such as Aquatic Facility Certification, National Playground Safety Inspector, or Ohio Public Operators License for chemical application*, and
3.    Minimum of two years (24 months) experience in parks and facilities maintenance, and
4.    Skilled in the operation of Parks & Recreation maintenance equipment, and
5.    Possess a valid State of Ohio driver’s license*.

*Licensure and certifications must be maintained over the course of employment as a condition of employment within classification.

OPERATION TECHNICIAN - Part-time
(Parks & Facilities Division)

The City of Miamisburg, Ohio is accepting applications for the position of Operations Technician.  This part-time position reports directly to the Facilities Operations Manager and performs a variety of skilled and unskilled tasks in the custodial care and maintenance of community buildings. The ideal candidate possesses experience in construction, electrical systems, HVAC systems, painting, plumbing and/or custodial work. The position responsibilities include but are not limited to: performing regular inspections and repairs of all facilities to ensure cleanliness for public use; light construction and other general maintenance tasks; custodial work; moving and lifting up to 50 lbs. and assisting co-workers as needed. 

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Ohio Driver’s License.  The applicant must also have the ability to assess facilities and equipment to determine necessary maintenance, possess effective oral and written communication skills, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.   The City is looking for someone who can work effectively with supervisors, co-workers, contractors and the public; and maintain positive front-line public relations.

Work hours would typically be Monday through Friday from 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm, up to 28 hours per week. This position may also involve some weekend assignments.

OPERATIONS COORDINATOR - Part-time
(Parks & Recreation Department)

The City of Miamisburg is accepting applications for the part-time position of Operations Coordinator at the Miamisburg Community Center front desk for the Parks and Recreation Department.  This position provides a variety of skilled tasks to improve, increase or maintain opportunities for the community to Play, Discover and Grow.

Responsibilities include assisting customers at the Miamisburg Community Center front desk via email, phone, and in person, assisting City staff with administrative tasks as assigned, and staffing marketing events, and possessing a warm, welcoming, and professional demeanor at all times. Potential candidates must be flexible to perform a wide range of tasks and work with all demographics and ages of the public.  The position reports directly to the Community Center Operations Manager.  A typical schedule is 15-20 hours per week, not exceeding 28 hours per week, including weekends and evenings, dependent upon event schedules and needs of the Community Center.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Ohio driver’s license, a minimum of one (1) year of previous experience in the same or related field.  Candidate must obtain CPR/First Aid Certification with-in six (6) months of appointment and maintain as a condition of employment.  

The hourly wage range for the position is $9.85 - $15.22, DOQ.
