Finance Department Print E-mail

The Finance Department maintains budgetary control over all City funds and provides accounting control over assets, revenues and receivables. It is responsible for the proper receipt, custody and disbursement of all City funds, as well as the safety, liquidity and yields of the City's investment portfolio.

The City annually issues a Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) with a full set of financial statements and has received a "clean" audit opinion by independent auditors.

The Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) has been awarded to the City each year since 1989.  This award is presented to governmental entities whose CAFR achieves the highest standards in governmental accounting and reporting.

The Finance Department oversees the Income Tax and Utility Billing Divisions.

Income Tax
The Income Tax Division is responsible for collection of the City's 2.25% income tax. The office is located in the Miamisburg Civic Center at 10 N. First Street.
