Miamisburg, Ohio - April 2, 2012:  Miamisburg residents on the April billing cycle for water, sewer and refuse service are the first to receive a new style of invoice.  The City has discontinued use of the long-time postcard-style bill for these services and replaced it with a two-sided, 8 ? x 11 inch page delivered in an envelope.

The City initiated this change in response to the Federal Trade Commission?s Red Flag Rule, which requires certain banks, businesses and utilities to identify and protect personal information of consumers (red flags) that could make them vulnerable to identity theft.  The new format not only better protects the privacy of consumers, but also enables the City to provide more detailed information about water and sewer service in Miamisburg and the expanded payment options now available.

Residents are encouraged to watch their mail closely for this new billing format.  Questions may be directed to 847-6460.
