Added duties for downtown coordinator

Miamisburg, Ohio - April 25, 2018:  City Manager Keith Johnson has announced that the City’s part-time downtown coordinator, Katie Frank, was promoted to a newly created full-time position of community development director.

While maintaining various downtown responsibilities, Frank is now also overseeing the neighborhood enhancement program introduced by the City in 2017 that was originally known as Made in Miamisburg.  Renamed Miamisburg CARES (Community Action for Revitalization, Engagement & Sustainability), this program is designed to engage citizens, community and regional partners, and City departments to identify and implement specific steps needed to improve a defined area of the City.  It consists of three pillars: infrastructure, building/housing stock and quality of life.

“City Council and I feel that neighborhood enhancement can really boost our redevelopment efforts downtown and quality of life for our residents,” Johnson said.  “With the relationships Katie has built and the experience she has with redevelopment issues, we’re confident she can help Miamisburg CARES meet its goals.”

Frank has been with the City of Miamisburg since 2008.
