Aqua Zumba-NEW for 2013!  (16 years and older)

Come join the Zumba pool party!  Aqua Zumba is an exciting, challenging, water-based workout that focuses on cardio-conditioning and body toning.  Water depth ranges up to four feet.  For a better workout, it is recommended that participants wear water shoes.

The Aqua Gym-NEW for 2013!  (Ages 8 years and older)

Imagine the thrill of pulling on a pair of swim fins, a mask, a scuba tank-and learning to breathe and play underwater!  That's the whole idea of Aqua Gym-an exciting new underwater scuba program.  Under the supervision of an experienced, certified scuba instructor, participants will enjoy underwater activities and challenges.  All equipment is provided.

Junior Lifeguard Program  (Ages 12-15 years)

Future lifeguards will be introduced into the "real world" of lifeguarding by learning water safety and drowning prevention, water surveillance, emergency response, rescue skills, professionalism and leadership.  Participants will enhance interpersonal and teamwork skills, develop a sense of responsibility, and build a strong work ethic.  CPR and First Aid Certifications will be awarded to individuals who complete this course.  The Junior Lifeguard Program is instructed by Aquatic Center Lifeguards.  Don't miss this opportunity to learn what it takes to guard the waters of The Splash Zone!

Water Fitness (ages 16 and older)

Improve your cardiovascular condition, strength, flexibility, muscular endurance and balance with this moderate to high-level intensity workout.  Water depth for this class ranges up to 12 feet.  Flotation belts provided.

June 3 - June 29

July 1 - July 31(No class July 13 or 24)

Session 3:   

August 1 - 19, 20, 24, 31 (First class held on Thursday)

CO-ED Sand Volleyball League (Ages 16 and older)

Teams of co-workers or friends are invited to enjoy some friendly competition in a fun atmosphere.  Teams include 6 players comprised of males and females, and games follow rally scoring rules.  Registration deadline is June 3.

Lap Swimming (For all ages)

Swimming is for everyone!  Whether you would like to build endurance in the water, develop stroke technique and speed, or train for a triathlon, swimming is one of the most beneficial, low impact and challenging forms of exercise.  Improve cardiovascular condition, perfect stroke technique and improve distance through lap swimming.

Synchronized Swimming (Ages 8 years and older)

Synchronized swimming is an Olympic sport that mixes swimming with ballet and gymnastics, and includes diving, stunts, lifts, and endurance movements.  Acrobatic dance routines are choreographed to music.

Pre-requisite:  Participants must be able to swim 25 yards free style, swim 25 yards backstroke and tread water for 30 seconds.

Advanced Synchro:  Saturday 9:00-9:30 a.m.
This is designed for swimmers who love the sport and want to pursue it beyond basics.

Beginner Synchro:  Saturday 9:30-10:00 a.m.
This is an introduction to synchronized swimming.  Participants will improve their swimming ability and increase their flexibility and strength.
